This project is my take on modeling my Grandma’s kitchen. It was a place full of unforgettable memories and, of course, its signature Pepto Bismol pink color. The kitchen had a distinct 1950s vibe that I leaned into, amplifying the pink to a bold and unapologetic level.
This mid-shot highlights the fridge, home to treasures like Frosty Paws ice cream for the dogs. A classic family story involves my Uncle Denny accidentally eating a bunch of it, blissfully unaware it was meant for the pups. He found out later, and we all had a great laugh.
Another shot features the cozy dog bed in the corner, a favorite spot for all the family dogs. My favorite, Missy, a hefty, short-haired German Pointer, was notorious for stealing gum from my mom’s purse and eating potato peels. She had a knack for clearing the room with her farts and pinning my feet under her weight when she fell asleep.
Lastly, I had to include a close-up of the Frosty Paws logo. That little detail always takes me back to one of my favorite family stories.
Good times, great memories, and so much pink!
