This animated 3D still life captures the art of cocktail-making in a painterly impasto style. From a mortar of pesto to vibrant ingredients like orange, honey, lemon, pineapple, and coconut, the composition rotates to reveal a finished cocktail on one side and a kitchen knife on the other. Rendered in Cinema 4D with Octane, this piece explores NPR (non-photorealistic rendering) techniques, aiming for a balance of stray brush marks and rich textures—all achieved in-camera. Shout-out to Paul-Guilhem Repaux for his guidance on this approach, which inspired me to push these painterly looks further. Minimal post-work in Photoshop focused on contrast and sharpness. I'm still refining ways to enhance the realism and integrate textures that follow object contours more naturally.
