Diesel is hosting an EDM festival in Barcelona and needed a design direction and structure for a :30 commercial for the concert. The festival will be held at a popular club and will feature tons of popular EDM acts. The spot needed to reflect the Diesel brand conveys the message of a trendy EDM fest. My solution was to use a color story with lava lamp-esque frames for lifestyle and music photography that reflect the core Diesel demographic and festival. It starts off on a bright neon mist background and transitions to the dark purple background as the spot resolves to the DJ names and festival information. This maintains a high contrast value structure throughout so the piece is legible even though there are a lot of festive details.
