NASA were looking for some style frames and design boards for a promo for a show on a future mission to Mars. They wanted treatment on the footage as well as design for all graphics including title cards, show title, tune-in screen, and NASA TV logo. They wanted it to feel dangerous, awe-inspiring, and cinematic with a light techy UI touch to it. They didn’t have a logo yet so I had to modify an existing one for Expedition 44. I created 3 style options with a corresponding mood board/ image reference. Planet texture, mysterious fog and playing with areas of contrast became the main motif to really get across the idea that going to Mars is going be a scary, cold and harrowing journey.
