This was a cut-scene for an IR interactive vending game where the player would skip an Oreo across a lake of milk to alter the course of the story. The game was built in Flash with the exception of these cut-scenes which were animated in After-Effects. The challenge was to make sure the movements and animations were consistent through-out the cut-scenes and game-play. We worked closely with the Flash developer and creative director to get the animation style guide locked down. These scenes played depending on how good or bad the skip across the lake was. If it was too high, the vampire cut-scene played; if it was too low, the shark scene played; and if was just right, the wolf scene played. This was considered an added value kind of animation to enhance gameplay, story and re-enforce branding. People that won got either a coupon or a free bag of Oreos. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me!
